Desiree's Blog: Chicago Bridal Market With Desiree For KV Bijou
I had the most incredible time designing a collection of jewelry with Kelsey from KV Bijou for brides to be, but nothing can compare to sharing those designs with others. This past Sunday to Wednesday, we had the privilege of attending the Chicago Bridal Market to share our gems with potential buyers and it was the best feeling to see the excitement from others regarding the quality and style of our designs.
Our hope for ‘Desiree for KV Bijou‘ is for brides to love what they are wearing as they walk down the aisle and to be able to wear these designs long after that special day. Each design we created can be worn for any occasion and the quality will last longer than just one night.
We use semi-precious gemstones such as quartz and aura quartz in many of the styles and every piece is sterling silver and rhodium plated so that they won’t tarnish as quickly as other materials. The best of both worlds when you want your jewelry to last! There’s nothing worse than that black or green ring around your finger or wrist from jewelry.

It was so much fun meeting new people from all over and learning more about their stores. We were able to exhibit in the Maggie Sottero area, which was a blessing, where I was able to see the dresses I designed with them (Desiree Hartsock with Maggie Sottero) on the runway with jewelry from my Desiree for KV Bijou collection. Talk about a dream come true! Both jewelry and dresses on the runway for everyone to see was a surreal feeling that I will forever cherish.

Of course we couldn’t be in Chicago without visiting ‘The Bean’!! Kelsey and her husband Terry are from Canada and had never visited Chicago before, so it was fun to show them around a little bit and enjoy some deep dish pizza together!
