Summer Beauty Essentials

Ladies, get ready for a big dose of beauty info. We all love the summer and I've got a few tips and tricks to make your beauty routine a little easier and fun!  

My name is Renee Bruinsma and by trade I'm a professional make-up artist. I'm a total product junkie and maybe I work a little on the side to support my beauty habits ;)

Here's what I'm currently obssessed with this summer:

• Chanel UV ESSENTIEL spf 50

I have searched high and low for the perfect face SPF and I've found it!  It's non-greasy, lightweight and makeup glides perfectly overtop of this gem. Available at Holt Renfrew, The Bay and Murale.

Who wants soft, silky skin? Ya... I know you do. These salts are all the way from the dead sea and they will revitalize your senses and moisturize your skin. Available at Pender Medi Spa.

• Saint Tropez self tanning mousse

Let's talk about self tanning products. If you're like me you've tried at least 5 over the years and I find I always end up so stinky and looking like an oompa loompa! Look no further. I found the PERFECT, most natural, non-streaky, easy to apply product. It's a mousse, so you can apply it with their mit and you will get the perfect bronzed application every time! • Essie nail polish in "sugar daddy"

This is a great shade for every day, all year round. It goes perfectly with every outfit and always looks like you've just had a fresh manicure!  Available at Shoppers Drug Mart.

Who wants a BIG dose of anything anti-aging? To complete your summer look, a maxi-dress is a must, along with a wide brimmed hat and some beautiful flip-flops.  But not just any flip-flops, I'm loving Tkeeks in "Opal," as they are a beautiful nude shade and will match any outfit.  

Last but not least jewelry!  I am in love with KV Bijou's Emily and Arie bracelets layered with a Lagoon ring, so beautiful!!
